Jewelry Care
To prolong the life of any jewelry, please do not swim or shower while wearing your piece(s). Having a piece that's Sterling Silver, Gold Plated, or Gold-Filled material does not mean that it's indestructible. Avoid chemicals of all kinds when wearing jewelry, and make sure lotion is dry before putting on your jewelry. After wearing any type of jewelry, it is recommended that you wipe it down with a microfiber cloth to remove any oils. With the proper care, jewelry will last a long time!

When you store your jewelry, it is best to make sure it is in an airtight container, whether it is a small bag, jewelry box, or both. Store the container in a cool, dark, and dry area. Humidity can be a breeding ground for tarnish, and moisture can cause a chemical reaction.

If you want to go above and beyond with any brand necklace, wipe it down once you take it off to clean it of any oils from your skin.
Aluminum Rings
Aluminum will not tarnish in water, but we recommend taking them off for certain activities such as cleaning, exercising, etc.
Keep in mind:

take off your aluminum ring(s) while cleaning, staining wood, or doing other tasks that involve chemicals. Although aluminum doesn’t rust, it can oxidize.

if the coloring in the stamped area fades - you can easily fix this by coloring it in with a sharpie or acrylic marker and wiping it away.

when adjusting, apply even pressure to just the two ends. Use light pressure because aluminum is more malleable and if you adjust by pinching the entire ring, it will lose its shape.
Gold-Plated
Gold-plated jewelry falls into the "general care" category. Although metals that have been plated in gold are not known to tarnish, due to the nature of the metal, I do not recommend showering in it.
Copper
Any copper jewelry piece will require care and maintenance. All copper begins to discolor and "oxidize." The best part about copper, and all it's organic glory, is that it is easily shined back to its original state using a simple jewelry cloth. Another way to clean any bare copper jewelry (that has oxidized due to wear) is to make a mixture of white vinegar and salt in a bowl, dunk your piece in for about 30 seconds to a minute, remove and rinse in cool water. Dry it thoroughly, and enjoy copper's bright and shiny return! There are other ways that can be found online, another method is using lemon juice, or a lemon itself. Copper can also be sealed with wax and clear lacquer (like nail polish)! It will wear off over time, but can be easily resealed. *Note that some people react to copper jewelry, and it shows with a green or blue ring around their finger. This does not diminish the quality of your ring - it is a natural occurrence with copper and our skin. It washes off the skin easily.
Resin
Resin jewelry is fairly new; therefore, I will give you as many tips and tricks as I know to get the most longevity out of your piece(s). Resin is technically a plastic, which means it is soft and slightly porous.
A few things to avoid:
UV Rays
avoid storing any piece in direct sunlight. Some resins may yellow when exposed long-term to the sun's rays.
Extreme Heat
since resin is considered a plastic, high heat will cause it to deform. Please do not leave your piece in a car in the middle of the summer, dryer, out by the pool, or while you're in a jacuzzi!
Sharp Objects
resin is a fairly soft material, sharp or abrasive items will scratch the surface.
Harsh Chemicals
Chemicals are present in so many items: perfumes, lotions, shampoos, soaps, nail polish, etc. As with any material jewelry, I recommend using these items before putting your jewelry on, and not after you are wearing it. The main concern is with aggressive chemicals such as cigarette smoke, cleaning agents, and alcohol-based products (such as acetone (nail polish remover) or perfume).
With COVID-19 cases rapidly increasing, many people using cleaning supplies and hand sanitizer more often than ever before. Hand Sanitizer is an alcohol-based product, and should be to kill germs, but it can be extremely harmful resin jewelry. Please be cautious when using this product and remove your jewelry before using hand sanitizer, once it is dry, you can replace your piece!
